The “Friends” of Threshfield are a group of parents who meet up, in the afternoons at school once a term, to organise fundraising and social activities for us. Their efforts are very much appreciated and vitally important!
All parents are welcome to attend.
Fund raising events have enabled us to purchase the adventure playground equipment, musical instruments, benches as well as lots of learning resources that the school would not have been able to afford otherwise. Social activities range from the Treasure Hunt, the Safari Supper, Children’s Bingo, Film nights, the School Ball and the Curry & Quiz night. These events are well supported and help to provide extras resources for the school and bond our school community together.
Thank you very much for your support so far this school year – it is vital and greatly appreciated! Fundraising activities to be run by Friends this year has included a Christmas Wreath Making, Film Club,The School Christmas Cards and a fabulous quiz and curry night at The Fountaine. Last year Friends raised over £ 4000 through the school ball, coffee morning, curry night and Raj night, much of which was spent on updating the new library area upstairs which will be opening soon!
